THE COMPUTER VIRUS

The computer virus is one of the deadliest software that can enter your computer. They attack your files and programs so that they fail to work. Sytems can crash and networks lose their efficiency.

The computer is our essential tool. We cannot do without it, but if our files and programs are tampered, we could be at risk of losing what we had struggled to create. The costs could be many hours of labour and millions of dollars.

ATTENTION!!! New Virus Epidemic! I-Worm.Mydoom.a and GaoBot.DQ have now infected more than a million computers since they were first detected, causing losses of more than 38,500 million dollars.

To aggravate the problem, there are newer viruses invented every day. It is hard to keep in track, and even worse is that many antivirus software cannot detect or remove most of the deadliest viruses of all. To make the example clear, KeenValue.C, Win32.Mydoom, IstBar.W, Agent.AE, Adware.Gator.A, VBS.Plan.B, Win32.Evaman, Winupdt.A, Mydoom.V@mm, Adware.180Solutions, Backdoor.Agent.AY, Backdoor.SDBot.gen, W32/Sasser.worm.b, KeenValue.A, Worm.SomeFool are some of the deadliest viruses that have come out in Feb 2006 and the month is still not complete when I wrote this.

One thing is for sure, we do not need viruses and we do not want them. Another thing that is for certain is that we want an antivirus that can detect and remove almost anything invented upto date. So when you are shopping around for an antivirus software, be sure to pick the one that removes them all.
